The New Arrival

Well , we succumbed . Who wouldn't looking at those eyes ?

his name is Jack ( Gentle Jack according to the greyhound stud book ) and he's absolutely gorgeous , even if he does have a plastic fetish. Not a single plastic currycomb remains with a handle. Come to think of it nor does my dustpan any more. However, everyone adores him, Tali calls him 'My darlin' ' and Aarons most common word at the moment is 'Yac !' Bless him. He runs like the clappers, and my brother managed to get a picture of him as you can see, which would make most turn and run ! Most of the time he's a rather large couch potato, who has so far managed to get himself a double size dog bed , topped with a king size duvet. He has a more comfy bed than me !

He is rather fetching, I'll give you that with appealing "Wasn't Me" eyes. Our dog's strange snacking material of choice is metal. Makes you wince. Also somewhat expensive.

The first picture is a bit 'aargh! scary teeth!' but in the second he looks totally adorable. No wonder you succumbed.

I've just caught up with your previous blog about your gorgeous horse. Good grief! Isn't that the sort of sight to make your heart stop. (One of the reasons I always feed mine with hay loose on the ground!) I hope he's fully recovered now. I had a moment like that with my (late) dressage horse. I looked over the stable door to find him cast, completely wedged under his hayrack. Of course I was at home on my own. He was most apologetic, but it took ages to pull/push he free with the aid of the yard brush and a lunging rein. Then he made a habit of it...

oh that's odd, I left the machine and it whirred doing nothing, not leaving my comment, then I came back, saw Mags' comment, thought "teeth" what IS she on about? and clicked back and the teeth pic was there, and yes, a bit fast and scary. But it wasn't there when I first came onto the blog - maybe it was there as a tiny cross in a box, I can't remember, but it was just the one with the eyes first time round. Weird.

Or perhaps I thought it was a llama or something. Oh dear, terrible short term memory issues here.

Oh what gorgeous eyes - no of course you couldn't resist and greyhounds are lovely dogs.

My neighbour's cat used to have a fetish for plastic. It would pee on it . . .got in through our cat flap once and peed in our toaster . . .

Hi Palomino, from over the border here in Norfolk.

Oh my, what a GORGEOUS dog, they do say that Greyhound breeds are gentle characters even if they be quite large dogs. Love the name of Gentle Jack. He will enjoy many happy times in the Palomino household, and what a lucky dog he is to have you as his owner. Love the pictures.

That is one gorgeous dog and the horse in the previous one is a bit of a looker too. There is something about the soulful eyes of dogs isn't there? I do like greyhounds xx
